Prize for Research 2009: IOA-EA3G Willy Masschelein Prize

Award for original research revealing some unprecedent knowledge on any of the fundamental aspects of the industrial generation and the applications of ozone and derived oxidants.

The Winner for this 2009 Prize is Dr. Rashmi CHAND (from UK) for her thesis entitled Advanced oxidative wastewater treatment using cavitational reactors.

In 2007, Winner of Willy Masschelein Prize was Marc-Olivier Buffle (from Switzerland) for his thesis entitled Mechanistic Investigation of the Initial Phase of Ozone Decomposition in Drinking Water and Wastewater: Impact on the Oxidation of Emerging Contaminants, Disinfection and By-products Formation.
